The worlds biggest multi-stage lift irrigation project which is said to be the proud of Nation and a boon to state Telangana is inaugurated by Chief Minister Mr. K. Chandrasekhar Rao today at 11.26 at Medigadda Barrage. It became a prestigious moment for our country as the worlds largest irrigation project has been constructed in record time of 3 years short span in irrigation sector.

3. Capacity of 2 TMC water lifting per day and planning to strengthen to 3 TMC.
4. Worlds biggest project which provides irrigation to above 45 lacks of ekeras, and helps to supply drinking water to thousands of villages and for hundreds of industries can be benefited. Through the project Hyderabad city is going to get rid of water scarcity and get plenty of drinking water from the River Godavari. Water from Godavari can be lifted through Kaleshwaram link. Water from Medigadda, Annaram and Sundilla Barrages can be lifted to Ellampalli Barrage. Which work as balancing reservoir by this water scarcity can be eliminated. Kaleshwaram became a main abutment of drinking water to the growing population crossing crore and expanding to the sub urbs. Kaleshwaram became the permanent solution for drinking water problem and ensuring drinking water to the future generations It stood a milestone in re-designing the irrigation projects done by Chandrasekhar Rao.

Foremost record of lifting Godavari water to up 92mts in different stages and supplying water to basins and finally lifting to 618 mts.
