On 11 March 2020, WHO declared Novel Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) outbreak as a pandemic and reiterated the call for countries to take immediate actions and scale up response to treat, detect and reduce transmission to save people’s lives.
Circumstance update
As of 24 March 2020 (12:00 AM), a total of 424 COVID-19 cases (424* Active COVID 2019 cases, 34 Cured/discharged cases, 9 Death cases, 1 Migrated COVID-19 Patient) have been reported in 23 states/union territories. These include 23 who have been cured/discharged, 1 who has migrated and 9 reported deaths. Hospital isolation of all confirmed cases, tracing and home quarantine of the contacts is ongoing.Coronavirus India updates
